Orienteering returned to the city from the 4th to 6th May with the Aveiro City Race 2018, organized by Ori-Estarreja and the City Hall.
The third edition of this event had as its highlights the realization of a nightly stage on the University campus and the presence of a hundred foreign athletes from 17 nations, as the Sunday stage was part of the City Race Euro Tour urban circuit.
Altice Labs marked its presence with the participation of around 15 collaborators and family members throughout the event, where some took the opportunity to make the routes with their children in a family discovery spirit of the urban space combined with the challenge of navigation with map and compass.
Of the collaborators present at the event with a more competitive spirit, stands out the first place of Fernando Parente in Open Middle and Miguel Santos in Open Long in the Campus Night Race stage. On Saturday, both won the fourth place in the Urban Race stage, held in Bairro de Santiago, at the same levels. On Sunday, Fernando repeated the climb to the podium with a third place in the Open Middle level.
