Aveiro Tech Week is a set of three simultaneous events, TECHDAYS Aveiro, CRIATECH and PRISMA / Art Light Tech where several actions and events dedicated to technology, art and culture will take place in the city of Aveiro.

It started on the 12th and will continue until the 18th of October 2020 and Altice Labs will be present as Main Sponsor at Edifício Atlas, Teatro Aveirense and at Mercado Manuel Firmino.

The opening session took place on the 13th of October in the main room of Teatro Aveirense and was attended by the Mayor of Aveiro, José Ribau Esteves, the Vice-Rector of the University of Aveiro, Artur Silva, the CEO of Altice Portugal, Alexandre Fonseca and the Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira, among other guests, sponsors and artists.

At the Atlas Building, in the dedicated session “Aveiro Tech City Living Lab”, 5G networks will be debated on the 15th of October, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, in a presentation by Francisco Fontes where he will describe the 5G networks used in Aveiro Living Lab, their levels of performance and how to manage its use.  Potential lines of evolution will be identified. In this workshop, Paulo Pereira will speak about the importance of data processing and its transformation into information, in the creation of a dynamic ecosystem in smart cities, highlighting the importance of an urban information management platform and positioning Altice Labs’ offer in this field of action, giving special focus to some of the use cases that it potentiates in the Aveiro STEAM City project.

On the 16th of October, at 2:30 pm, in the main room of Teatro Aveirense, a session will be held on “Digital Transformation of Cities and Communities – The Perspective of Municipalities” where the General Manager of Altice Labs, Alcino Lavrador, will present the three winning projects of Aveiro 5G Challenges.

Altice Labs will also be represented in the Manuel Firmino Market with products and solutions from the Digital, Internet and Television area and with equipment and solutions from the Connectivity area of ​​the Network Systems Development area.

Participation in short-term workshops is by invitation, but everyone interested will be able to watch online and participate in the event through a livestream available on the Aveiro Tech Week website.
