Through the 6GSNS (Smart Networks and Services) initiative, the European Union has selected 27 new research, innovation, and experimentation projects focused on developing research in the field of 6G technologies. These projects, which receive around 130 million euros under the Horizon Europe Programme, started their operations on January 1st, 2024. They represent a significant effort towards promoting smart networks and services, offering revolutionary innovations, experimental platforms, and large-scale trials, boosting world-class research, and shaping the world’s connected digital future.

Each of the winning projects explores innovative approaches that cover a wide spectrum of 6G domains. Two projects involving the participation of Altice Labs are worth mentioning: 6G-PATH (6G Pilots and Trials Through Europe) and SUNRISE-6G (Sustainable Federation of Research Infrastructures for Scaling-up Experimentation in 6G).

The diverse set of approved projects ensures a multi-faceted approach to addressing the challenges of 6G technology and promises a wide range of innovative solutions. Find out about all the winning projects and obtain more information here.
