Altice Labs organized and collaborated in a Usability and User eXperience (UX) Workshop at the University of Aveiro in the context of the promotion of the Master in Multimedia Communication – Interactive Multimedia branch (MMMC-IM).

This workshop corresponded to the start-up of the module “UX Assessment” of the project based learning that is being developed by the master’s students in the framework of the partnership between MMMC-IM and Altice Labs.

On the 18th November, the Usability and UX team had about 30 students to educate and train in methodologies and UX assessment, presenting cases of practical application, constraints, advantages and necessary adaptations to the daily practical work with the product teams.

The receptivity of the students and teachers was noticeable. Conducting hands-on exercises had a major impact on student learning.

According to Professor Ana Veloso, “The “UX Assessment” workshop was of interest to the students because they realized how the UX assessment is done in a real world business context and experienced the role of evaluating the products. The value of knowledge acquired in these contexts is, usually, more highly valued by trainees than in traditional teaching-learning contexts.”
