On 17th May, Altice Labs was present at the 3rd edition of Internet Day, an event organized by Digimedia (UA Research Center), Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro, focused on studying digital media.

This year, the International Internet Day was dedicated to the Culture of Interaction and featured a number of initiatives, such as lectures and a roundtable discussion attended by national academics from various universities (European University, University of Coimbra, New University of Lisbon and Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto) and international (Jeffrey Bardzell, Indiana University).

There was also another initiative, where all the companies were presented, and the pitch on Altice Labs was carried out by Paulo Margaça of the Technology and Innovation Strategy department. Next, six projects of New Technologies of Communication’s degree and Multimedia Communication master were presented, previously selected by the teachers, and Altice Labs was one of the companies invited to make an evaluation of some of these projects to the students involved. Paulo Margaça, Herlander Santos and Hugo Dias were responsible for evaluating those projects.

It was a very interesting session that allowed a very close contact between students and companies, and was given the opportunity to be more framed about some constraints that exist in the organizational context, which are unknown in the academic field.

The day ended with a job fair in which Altice Labs had the opportunity to promote the existing internship offers, and there was a lot of interest from the students at the Altice Labs stand.
