Altice Labs was present in two events in two prestigious universities of the country: the DETI4devs at the University of Aveiro – on the 16th and 17th October and the FEUP Career Fair 2018 at the Engineering Faculty of the University of Porto – on the 18th October.

These events had the direct support of those who are or have already been through the  experience of being a GENIUS scholarship student at Altice Labs, namely  Diogo Reis (from the Technological Coordination and Innovation department), Sara Loureiro (from the Network Systems Development and Implementation department) , Tiago Miranda and Sara Furão (from Operations Support Systems department), who presented their dissertation projects to more than 50 students who went by the Altice Labs stand in these two events.

The presence of Mário Moreira (from the Technological Coordination and Innovation department) was also relevant as a speaker on a “Technological Radar” lecture which was classified by the participants as “as one of the best  software engineering classes they have ever had”.

In this students population, essentially made of Engineering Undergraduate and Master’s degrees in the areas of ​​Computer Science and Electronics, the technologies that they show the most interest in working are those related to Smart Cities, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Security and IoT, with preferences above 60%. Other areas of preference are also  Web applications, Big Data, Mobile and 5G. 82% also expressed interest in receiving a proposal from Altice Labs.
