The fourth edition of the “UAlg Careers Fair”, the employment fair of the University of the Algarve, was held on the 14th March at the Gambelas Campus Pedagogical Complex, and had the participation of 66 companies.
Altice Labs had the opportunity to participate in this exhibition in partnership with Inova-Ria, the business association in the areas of Information Technology, Communication and Electronics of Aveiro region, to promote available opportunities for Research Scholarships, in the context of the GENIUS Programme.
This initiative is part of the wider goal to leverage the Altice Labs@Algarve office, which will kick off with a strong involvement of the University of Algarve, in a partnership that has already started with the joint submission of an application under the H2020 programme, with the SECReTS project, in the context of the H2020-SC6-TRANSFORMATIONS-2019 call.
The Careers Fair was a great opportunity to meet 17 potential candidates, to which Altice Labs will take a more personalized approach, in order to try to match the interests of the parties involved. The challenge is therefore the high competition for technology profiles, in which interesting and challenging projects are at the top of student preferences.
