Innovation and entrepreneurship have a new opportunity to shine with the Altice International Innovation Award (AIIA) 2024. With a global prize of 100,000 euros, this 8th edition aims to recognize, promote, and support technological and disruptive projects at the national and international levels.

This year, the AIIA presents two categories for competition:

  1. ‘Startup’ Category: for startups in the incubation phase, with innovative projects in areas relevant to our business that demonstrate their technological, disruptive, and transformative power.
  2. ‘INCLUI’ Category by Fundação Altice: for projects that promote digital inclusion and accessibility to communication, particularly in school, professional, and social contexts, for people with disabilities.

The 100,000 euros will be distributed between the two categories: ‘Startup’ (75,000 euros) and ‘INCLUI’ by Fundação Altice (25,000 euros). Applications must be submitted online through the form available at Altice Labs.

In addition to the monetary prizes, the winners will have the opportunity to conduct a proof of concept with Altice, benefiting from incubation services through the prize partners, Unicorn Factory Lisboa or Startup Braga. The startups also compete for the Born from Knowledge – Awards (BfK), promoted by the National Innovation Agency (ANI), which recognizes Portuguese projects ‘born from knowledge’ or that stand out in R&D activities.

The winners will be announced on November 26 in Lisbon, at a ceremony where the finalists will present their projects to the Grand Jury, composed of Altice officials and relevant personalities from the business, scientific, and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
