“AI Impact on Cloud Services” at Altice Labs’ 128th TechDay

The 128th TechDay @ Altice Labs was held on September 13^th, with the theme “AI Impact on Cloud Services”.

The keynote speaker was José Ruivo from Altice Portugal, who contextualized the topic and anticipated its evolution, addressing the issues of efficiency, automation, security, predictive maintenance, capacity management, cost optimization, and “analytics insights” as the most relevant topics, particularly for MEO.

The second speaker was Jorge Silva from Microsoft, who delivered a presentation entitled “Transform your Business with Leading Edge AI from OpenAI and Microsoft”, providing insights into Microsoft, including the use of natural language in programming, also known as “prompt engineering”. He also discussed the partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI, and tools such as Github Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Power BI Copilot.

The last speaker was Pablo Carlier from Google Cloud Iberia, who discussed Google’s family of models to enhance the experience of consumers, businesses, and system developers, using Artificial Intelligence through the Vertex AI platform.
