Industry 4.0 was the theme of the 89th Tech Day, which took place at the amphitheater of Altice Labs in Aveiro, on the 28th April 2017.
This 89th Tech Day focused on the full digitalization of physical assets and their integration into digital ecosystems with the various value chain providers.
The event, focused on Industry 4.0, had as premise to explain what the industry 4.0
is really about, not only from the standpoint of R&D institutes and government, but also from the point of view of industry users highlighting two case studies to better Illustrate what was being discussed: the first case study “A running solution” by Sérgio Salústio from Bosch TT and the second case study “From design to implementation” by Alberto Rocha from Altice Labs.
The opening of the event was done by Alcino Lavrador, Altice Labs’ general director, with the participation of Francisco Lobo from Critical Manufacturing with the theme “Industrial Perspective”, followed by Pedro Fonseca from the University of Aveiro who presented “R&D Themes on Industry 4.0”. The overall overview of the Industry 4.0 was presented by Jorge Portugal from COTEC Portugal.
To close the 89th Tech Day, moderated by Pedro Fonseca of the University of Aveiro, there was a panel discussion on the topic under discussion.
