The 80th Tech Day counted with the presence of invited guests, like MEO, LOBA, Catholic Porto Business School and the University of Aveiro. It was possible to share diverse perspectives around the Digital Economy theme.

The event began with a keynote by Ricardo Luz, from MEO, who made an analysis of the impacts and consequences of adopting a stance “Going Digital …”. This was followed by João Gaspar, of the LOBA company, which presented a corporate vision of the Digital Economy through his perspective on the “Platforms and Profitability in E-commerce”. Then Rui Sousa, from the Catholic Porto Business School, explored the theme of Retail Models in the Digital Economy, specifying how to make the junction between physical presence and digital presence.

After a short break, the session started with Diogo Gomes, from the University of Aveiro, which brought the issue of Digital Economy in European Union, showing some of the topics highlighted in the Digital Agenda of the EU. The series of presentations was concluded by Ricardo Luz, with PT’s strategy for the theme of the digital economy, in particular the objectives of the Digital Consulting Bootcamp.
