On June 22nd, it took place, in Braga, the DemoDay of the 7th Startup Braga Acceleration Program, one of the most prestigious startup incubators and accelerators in Portugal. At DemoDay, the companies chosen for Startup Braga’s acceleration program presented their final pitch before a specialized jury, after an acceleration program that began on April 12th this year.
Altice Labs participated in this 7th program through various contributions:
- Selection of the startups to take part in the program (Innovation Strategy and Digital Department);
- Opening of the program by João Paulo Firmeza;
- Promotion of the bootcamp dedicated to Product Roadmap and Business Development with the presence of José Machado (Network Systems Development ), José Durães and André Carmo (Business Development and Support);
- Periodic mentoring sessions with Startups (EID);
- Participation in the final DemoDay and award of the Altice prize to the winning Startup in the Jury’s final assessment.
This DemoDay was attended by Luís Reis, from the Innovation Strategy and Digital department, as a member of the jury; and Alcino Lavrador, General Manager of Altice Labs, who took part in the round table and debated the topic “Rethinking the Portuguese Innovation Ecosystem: New Technologies, Trends and Future Challenges”.
At the end of the event, Alcino Lavrador presented the winning startup, OMNIUMAI, with the Altice prize, worth 20,000 euros.
The acceleration program accompanied the development of 10 projects over 8 bootcamps, involving 84 hours of training, 192 mentoring sessions and 43 speakers at the different sessions.
