On April 22, Tiago Lameirão from Altice Labs’ Innovation Strategy and Communication division delivered a presentation within the scope of the European project 6G-PATH, titled “Secure Data Sharing Solutions: Gaia-X and IDSA”. The session focused on the key pillars of secure data sharing in distributed environments.
The talk introduced concepts such as the Gaia-X Digital Clearing House (GXDCH), the Loire release of Gaia-X, and components of the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) ecosystem, including MVDS (Managed Virtual Data Space), EDC (Eclipse Dataspace Connector), and Sovity. A highlight of the presentation was Altice Labs’ own data-sharing scenario, showcasing how these technologies can be practically integrated into the company’s operations.
This initiative is significant for Altice Labs as it positions the organization as an active contributor to shaping European standards for data sovereignty and security within the 6G context, ensuring strategic alignment with the EU’s future digital infrastructure.
The session concluded with discussions on current integration challenges and innovation opportunities that Altice Labs aims to spearhead in upcoming developments.
