68º Tech Day – PT InS/PTP: Maturing of Order Management

This event focused on the thematic area of Order Management, exploring various issues, like the architecture, the optimization process and the support to the applications in production. Luís Godinho, from PT Inovação e Sistemas, opened the session with the framework of this area, that is crucial to the telecom operators. He describe the practical case of NSOM within its basic architectural components and evolution (ACCELERATOR). NSOM is already implemented and in production in the PT Group. Luís Godinho also stressed the long-standing partnership with ConceptWave (recently acquired by Ericsson) and other projects in worldwide partnership.

Nídio Cruz, from PT Portugal, explored the theme of the system optimizing on the database component, giving concrete examples of improvements that have been refining the solution in the recent years.

Finally, Fernando Matias, also from PT Portugal, shared the advantages and difficulties of having a rich and complex system like Order Management (NSOM) in production.
