The 107th Techday was dedicated to the topic “Future Operations – Challenges and Opportunities” and took place on the 18th of June. Held exclusively online, this Techday intended to share the experience of the Operations Support Systems (SSO) management and the work of its teams with regard to the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms on its main platform, NOSSIS ONE, in favor of its evolution and adaptation to three specific use cases, all of them focused on making cognitive and autonomic operations.
Thus, for an hour, the 98 online participants were able to get to know, first through Fernando Bastos, Responsible for the SSO Architecture, Product Management and Roadmap team, in what NOSSIS suite consists and what are the current developments . Then, and through the presentation of João Tiago Guerrinha, Responsible for Netwin Solutions, at the SSO, the audience had the opportunity to understand how cognitive methodologies can help in registering the network and how this use case is being addressed within the scope of the evolution of the NOSSIS suite.
In turn, Gonçalo Nuno Gaspar, from the Provision Solutions area at SSO, focused on the optimization of the network’s provisioning processes, which are essential for the management of the life cycle of services subscribed by customers, with the aim of autonomize and improve the reuse of resources, reducing operational costs and reducing service delivery time.
Finally, Carlos Guilherme Araújo, from the Assurance and Security area, also from SSO, focused on the advantages that autonomous decision tools and advanced user support will bring to the operator, not only in terms of CAPEX but also in terms of operational efficiency.
In the end, there was still time for questions and answers from the remote audience, all answered by the panel of speakers.
The next Techday, to be held online again on 7th of july, will focus on the role of artificial intelligence as a key factor in the revolution of digital industries and services. More Informations soon.
