The 6th edition of the Aveiro City Race, held in early July, featured a new technological solution on its official website: a generative chatbot developed by Altice Labs.
Designed to support participants and visitors with immediate responses, the chatbot helped reduce the pressure on traditional communication channels. Leveraging its expertise in integrating artificial intelligence into digital solutions, Altice Labs was able to quickly configure, train, and customize the chatbot to meet the specific needs of the event.
Configured, trained, and customized for the event, it interacted with hundreds of users and directly supported around 250 participants.
The positive results have led the Orienteering Club of Estarreja and the Municipality of Aveiro, organizers of the event, to consider adopting the solution for future competitions, including the Portugal O Meeting 2026, the largest annual orienteering event in Portugal.
