The Medigraf telemedicine solution, developed by Altice Labs, was recently showcased in a live demonstration at Hospital Central Ayres Menezes in São Tomé and Príncipe.

Held on April 16, the initiative was supported by members of Altice Labs’ Digital Platforms and Services team in collaboration with the Instituto Marquês de Valle Flôr (IMVF).

During the demonstration, teleconsultations were conducted between healthcare professionals in São Tomé and medical specialists in Lisbon. Using Medigraf, clinicians were able to view clinical exams in real time and collaborate on medical opinions, enabling more integrated patient care.

This action is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare cooperation between Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe, with the aim of providing more accurate clinical assessments for patients from São Tomé who travel to Portugal for treatment.

The initiative was also discussed during a meeting between the Health Ministers of both countries, coinciding with the delivery of a new batch of essential medicines to the archipelago as part of the Portuguese cooperation program.
