Altice Labs, represented by Francisco Fontes and Carlos Marques, from the Innovation Strategy and Communication department, played a key role in the development of the European white paper titled “6G KPIs – Definitions and Target Values”. Published on February 20, 2025, by the Test, Measurement and Validation (TMV) Working Group, this document is the result of collaboration among several projects within the European Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU). Its purpose is to lay the groundwork for 6G, focusing on the evolution of advanced 5G (5GA) networks and Beyond 5G (B5G).

Altice Labs’ contribution centered on synthesizing and providing pilot results from the Imagine-B5G project. The company also took responsibility for editing the section on the KPI family related to Positioning and Localization. Notably, Altice Labs’ 5G testbed demonstrated the capability to provide terminal positioning information based on network data – either replacing or complementing GNSS systems such as GPS.

The publication of this white paper underscores the benefits of collaborative work and knowledge sharing within a dynamic innovation ecosystem.
