Altice Labs was invited to take part in the 7th National Telemedicine Conference, themed “Telehealth: Transforming Healthcare in the Digital Era”. Organized by the Portuguese Telemedicine Association (APT), the event gathered a wide range of speakers to discuss topics such as the growing role of data science and artificial intelligence in healthcare, the importance of telemedicine in reshaping the organizational model of Portugal’s National Health Service (SNS), and the ongoing process of digital transformation and biomedical innovation.

Among the various sessions, a key contribution came from Telma Mota, from Altice Labs’ Digital Platforms and Services division, who participated in the panel “Remote Clinical Assistance, Tele-guided Procedures, and Telemonitoring”. In her presentation, she addressed critical challenges in the healthcare sector and showcased Medigraf and SmartAL, two innovative solutions developed by Altice Labs.

The event also featured a special tribute to Dr. Eduardo Castela, President of APT, a leading advocate for telemedicine in Portugal and the primary user of Medigraf in pediatric cardiology at the Local Health Unit of Coimbra.

Altice Labs’ participation in this conference highlights its tangible impact on society, particularly in the healthcare sector, and reinforces its commitment to developing disruptive products that enhance people’s lives.
