As part of the “Impulso IA” program, Altice Labs welcomed APDC – the Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications – to its headquarters in Aveiro on February 28 for the course “Boost Your Productivity with AI”.
The initiative aimed to promote AI literacy and explore its many potential applications. The session opened with Paulo Firmeza, General Director of Altice Labs, emphasizing the importance of bringing different organizations to the campus to foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation. Sandra Fazenda de Almeida, Executive Director of APDC, also gave a brief speech, thanking Altice Labs for its support and highlighting key milestones in the long-standing collaboration between the two entities.
Following the introductions, Vera Silva, a specialist trainer in AI tools for business, led the workshop. She began by clarifying essential concepts and distinguishing between generative and predictive AI. While presenting the benefits of AI, she also stressed the limitations and precautions to consider when using such technologies. To make the session more engaging, Vera demonstrated a variety of tools, including ChatGPT, Ideogram, Perplexity AI, Gamma, Gemini, NotebookLM, Claude, Vidnoz AI, Midjourney, and Chatbase.
In the final segment, she shared a concise guide on how to communicate effectively with AI tools, underlining the importance of crafting clear and well-structured prompts. Before wrapping up, participants enjoyed a fun, lighthearted competition designed to test the knowledge gained throughout the training session.
