On December 3rd and 4th, 2024, André Gomes and Bruno Santos from Altice Labs’ Innovation Strategy and Communication department participated in the SUNRISE-6G consortium meeting held in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The SUNRISE-6G project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe program, represents a significant leap beyond 5G capabilities as it incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as the federated network with Blockchain and support for greater Edge Computing and AIOps capabilities in the network, of which Altice Labs is very proud to be a part.
This pivotal event brought together consortium partners to review the progress made during the project’s first 12 months, align on the next steps, and ensure the ongoing advancement of 6G innovation. The meeting featured presentations on achieved results, evaluations of performance indicators, and meticulous planning for upcoming phases, taking into account emerging challenges, adjusting risk mitigation strategies, and strengthening resource management.
