Altice Labs was present at the 50th edition of the European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC2024), held in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 22nd. There, the company participated in the workshop “Beyond 50G-PON – Can we still use IMDD?”.

ECOC is one of the largest and most prestigious European conferences on optical communications, bringing together specialists and leaders who share knowledge, present innovative ideas, and promote collaborative work that drives innovation in the sector.

In this edition, Cláudio Rodrigues, from the Development of Advanced Connectivity Solutions department at Altice Labs, presented the paper Access network evolution to VHSP – service drivers and technology options as one of the workshop speakers. His intervention addressed the evolution of access networks to support very high-speed services, exploring the motivations and technological options driving this transformation in the context of optical communications networks.
