Margarida Almeida, Director of Innovation Strategy and Communication at Altice Labs, represented the company as a speaker on the panel of the 2nd ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) Week Forum: Sustainability and Transformation.

The session, sponsored by MEO, focused on the theme “Digital Transformation and ESG Strategy of Organizations” and addressed crucial topics of sustainability and ESG framework.

During the event, Margarida Almeida indicated that sustainability is of utmost importance to Altice Labs and highlighted significant advances in the development and production of more sustainable equipment, namely the use of components with longer life cycles, the reduction of packaging volume, and the introduction of recycled materials.

She also emphasized the role of Altice Labs’ Connected Home Program, presenting connectivity as a driving force for innovation and sustainability, and highlighting how comfort and energy management areas can promote a more sustainable life for customers. Other initiatives were also highlighted, such as the garden on the Aveiro campus and the sustainable beer production by employees, illustrating Altice Labs’ comprehensive commitment to environmental and social sustainability.

The debate also featured the participation of Nuno Cordeiro from PwC, Rita Mourão from EDP, and Paulo Garrido from Microsoft.
