Altice Labs attended the Innov4Mobility Winter School, organized by BGI in collaboration with TU Berlin and EIT Urban Mobility, in Aveiro. The main focus was on discussing the challenges of urban mobility and potential solutions. The event was attended by 35 undergraduate students from nine countries and different fields of study.

In the industry session, Nuno Silva from Altice Labs’ Innovation and Digital Strategy department presented the Live!Urban product, a data management solution for smart cities and territories. It integrates a set of vertical solutions, providing insights and analytics to urban managers to enhance intelligence in the territory.

As part of the Winter School, several challenges were presented to the students, who, over an intensive and dynamic week, were able to formulate solutions for each challenge. Altice Labs proposed the challenge ‘Towards a healthier city’ to 7 students, which consisted of using Artificial Intelligence, Open Data, and the Internet of Things to understand air pollution problems in real-time.
