We started January by maintaining the close relationship we have been cultivating with students, showcasing the best of what is created and developed in the field of communications in Portugal and around the world.
On the afternoon of January 11th, Altice Labs welcomed around 30 12th-grade students from the Science and Technology Course at Colégio de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, Porto, to its facilities.
After a welcome session where they were introduced to Altice Labs, they attended a presentation about the activities of the Operations Support Systems (OSS) department and also about SmartHome and Television. Following this, they visited the prototype development laboratory (TECNOCET), the climatic testing laboratory, and Future Labs.
The month ended with a visit from Dr. Augusto César da Silva Ferreira Secondary School, Rio Maior. On January 31st, more than 20 12th-grade students from the Professional Course in Computer Technician – Systems had the opportunity to attend an institutional presentation about Altice Labs and the Operations Support Systems (OSS) department. They also witnessed a demonstration of SmartHome and Television and visited the prototype development laboratory (TECNOCET), Future Labs, and the climatic testing laboratory.
These school visits provide students with an expansion of their technological knowledge, as well as reinforcing some of the content covered in school curriculum. Furthermore, they are an opportunity for us to showcase our company to various schools across the country.
