Altice Labs’ User Experience, Communication and Product Promotion team organized a session with MEO/Altice Portugal colleagues on the 22nd July to evaluate the proof of concept of the new “Topologies” module of the Netwin product, currently being designed together with this product team.

The Concept Testing methodology was used to understand users’ attitudes and expectations about an idea/project, in order to evaluate if it meets their journey and incorporates the features that will meet their real needs. It’s about validating the concept of a product, which can be improved/changed later. Ideally this methodology should be used at an early stage of the project to identify any flaws and problems as early as possible.

By presenting some prototypes, it was possible to:

– Get quick feedback on the conceived proof of concept;
– Consolidate recommendations for flow, functionality and content;
– Refine wireframes/mockups based on the analysis of inputs received.

This highlights the value that these sessions can bring to products, which should contemplate to the maximum a close contact with their users, incorporating the real perspectives as early as possible into their life cycle and on a continuous basis.
