On the 28th March, Altice Labs welcomed a group of 33 students from the 10th to the 12th grade of the Computer Systems Management and Programming Technical Course of the Penafiel School, who had the opportunity to get to know some of the company’s most emblematic places and projects.
This visit began with a presentation of the company’s history, along the telecommunications evolution in the country and the world in the last almost 70 years, highlighting the products developed by Altice Labs. This was followed by a guided tour of the campus, where the students were divided into two groups, to see important milestones and the latest technological developments.
The students were always interacting and expressing interest in what was being exposed to them, giving testimonies such as “I liked it very much, I had no idea that there was so much technology behind the things we use in everyday life …”. But it was not only the students who expressed an interest in the visit, the teachers themselves were fascinated with everything they were seeing, and were very participative and curious during the visit “… I had the perception of how technology has advanced over the years and how it is at this moment, because I, personally, was already outdated… Highly recommend the visit! “.
