On the 25th June, the “Google for Startups Day in Lisbon” event was held at the ENTER space in Lisbon, organized in partnership by Beta-i and Altice Labs. This event was the first public event organized in the new facilities of Altice Labs’ ENTER space in Amoreiras, Lisbon.
In this context, two workshops were organized, which were attended by Vitor Rodrigues, from Google Mountain View and a Google for Startups UK resident consultant.
In the first workshop, for which 8 startups were selected, Vitor Rodrigues addressed the following theme “Objectives and Key Results (OKR)”. In this workshop, after a detailed presentation on OKRs, Vitor Rodrigues challenged startups to define their OKRs, then advising startups on the right way to work their OKRs.
Ahead of the second workshop of the Google for Startups Day in Lisbon event, Nuno Silva, from the Technology and Innovation Strategy department, presented the AIIA 2019 (Altice International Innovation Award) to the more than 40 participants in the ENTER space auditorium, which was followed by the “Product Engineering@Scale” TED Talk by Vitor Rodrigues, aimed at explaining to startups the best practices to transform a MVP (Minimum Viable Product) into a real product, for thousands or millions of customers, at the same time as the Development teams grow from less than 10 elements to several hundred.
This event was attended by 6 Altice Labs collaborators: Pedro Carvalho, Nuno Silva, Luís Reis and Paulo Chaínho (Technology and Innovation Strategy), Pedro Pinto (Network Services and Platforms) and Paulo Breda Vieira (Operations Support Systems).
