Altice Labs marked its presence at the Cape Verde International Fair (FIC 2017) with a presentation of the “SONATA 5G NFV” project, at the invitation of the CVT Group and integrated in the “Open Idea” booth dedicated to Innovation.

This presence was part of a results dissemination action of the European project “SONATA 5G NFV” and had as purpose to present an implementation of the “NFV Reference Model” proposed by ETSI. This theme is usually discussed in Europe, United States and Asia, and so it was quite interesting to see it being promoted among African operators and startups.

In order to liven up its booth and establish proximity to the academic environment, CVT also launched the “Best Idea” competition, with 9 contributions from 3 Cape Verdean universities (Piaget University, Mindelo University and CV University). Altice Labs was invited to join the jury that selected the best award idea.

This participation enabled a collaboration between Altice Labs and CVT in the concession of differentiated and innovative offers for the Cape Verdean market that will be presented soon.
