Altice Labs was present, as the main sponsor, at the Techdays Aveiro, between 15th to 17th Setember at the Aveiro Exhibition Park.

In this event, the presence of Altice Labs focused on four main areas: Digital and Interactive TV; Smart Cities, Smart Objects and IoT; Optical Networks; and 5G Networks. For each of these areas were presented the most recent developments made in Altice Labs.

It were held sessions about “ICT4Future: Security & Open ICT” and “Innovation and Internationalization”, as well as a set of presentations about Innovation and Knowledge Management, wide broadband networks and TV of the future.

One of the biggest attractions of the Altice Labs / PT Empresas stand was the existence of a drone that allowed the collection and image transmission in real time. Along with content created by other participants at TechDays, these images were being transmitted in a kind of mini-control room, ie, software that allows those who are at home and have a MEO service, to see the content produced during the event itself. This application can be used for festivals, concerts and other events without leaving home and attending several perspectives and moments of an event.

Also during TechDays Aveiro 2016, Portugal Telecom launched the Innovation PT Award, a clear commitment to support the Portuguese talent and investment in launching new products that will be marked for its innovation, aimed at startups and university finalists.
