Hardware validation and industrialization

Context

Altice Labs develops and manufactures products/systems for telecomunications networks. It is looking for a trainee hardware engineer to join the hardware team, with responsibilities for the validation and industrialization of analog and digital systems, within all the Altice Labs products and solutions.

Project objectives

This project aims the candidate to develop and applicate a set of hardware skills in the analysis, diagnosis, testing, industrialization and repair of hardware for the latest generation xGPON products. It will also be expected to develop and use the methodologies and tools for in factory hardware testing , namely, Boundary-Scan (JTAG IEEE 1149.1 Std), ICT, etc.
The candidate will also acquire working experience in a laboratory environment with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, multimeters, lab power supplies and other validation test equipment.
Main tasks will include:

• Validate hardware test plans with design teams.
• Execute functional and non-functional tests.
• Bring up the newest prototypes.
• Automate tests at board and system level.
• Debug manufacturing non-conformities in the factory.
• Report validation status.
