With the growth of Internet of Things (IoT), thousands of devices all around the world, provide data serving different purposes. Telecommunications wise, monitoring with IoT becomes widely interesting for service providers.
The service provider's network can be very large with distinct a large number of metrics being collected in real time. Hence, some issues become very impportant, such as: received data is the desired data (integrity), provided by the right source (authenticity) and is secured (privacy). In this context, exploration of mechanisms that guarantee integrity, authenticity and privacy is intended, minimizing the impact on real time data delivery (performance).
Having such a large array of authorization and authentication options, a study of the existing options is intended, not excluding the option for a new inovative solution. This solution, in terms of functionalities, should consider the processing weight of devices and the performance cost in the authorization/authentication platform.
The study must include the adaptation usage of a Altice Labs already developed platform to manage authentication and authorization: IAM.
