Context

Implementation of Y.1731 in software with hardware acceleration based on FPGA.

Project objectives

OAM mechanisms can be be implemented either in hardware (using dedicated state machines) or software. The goal of this project is to study and evaluate the possibility of the CPU usage to implement Y.1731. It will be implemented in the xPON platforms developed by Altice Labs in order to reduce costs and increase flexibility.

Key skills required<

• Programming language: C/C++.
• Hardware Language Description: VHDL.
• FPGA development.
