DevOps: software development and delivery paradigm change

Context

SONATA-NFV H2020 project is developing an SDK and a Service Plataform that will allow thrid party software developers to develop and deliver new and disruptive network services and virtual network functions much quicker than we are all used to, without the Network Operator compromising security and the overall performance of its infrastructure.
This can only be achieved by making the process much more agile and iterative, in which the developer is authenticated and authorized, and receives monitoring data of the developed and deployed services. AlticeLabs is responsible for the development of this key component of the architecture, called Gatekeeper, for which development team we need one more person.

Project objectives

The objectives to achieve are:

• Define and discuss the work to be done, following some guidelines but with a high degree of autonomy.
• Implement micro-services supporting the Gatekeeper, integrating them in a coherent way (being an european project that aims to be open-sourced, it is crucial to produce high quality documentation in english).

Key skills required

• Strong software development skills, knowledge of high level programming language, such as Python or Ruby, knowledge of Agile Methodologies, endless curiosity, eager to learn.
