Study of Big Data technologies

Context

The term BigData refers to the group of technologies capable of handling with big volumes of different types of data with speed and cost not possible with traditional technologies. This set of technologies allows you to analyze and process any kind of digital information in batch or real time and is a critical tool for decision making.
Initially designed for batch processing, BigData technologies are increasingly moving intoreal-time processing and the ability to process streaming and historical data.
Operators generate huge amounts of data but can not always get the proper value of the data due to the still widespread use of inappropriate technologies and methods and the lack of qualified personnel in these newer technologies.

Project objectives

Study architectures, technologies and algorithms and implement proofs of concept and prototypes for processing data from a telecommunications operator ( mobile network , voice services and net , television, etc. ) on BigData platforms in order to extract value from such data and to respond the needs identified by the business.

Key skills required
