The trainee will be integrated in the AGORA development team, Altice Labs’ Management and Control solution for Altice Labs’ network devices.
The proposed project envisages the research, design and development of data synchronization algorithms and processes between the central AGORA platform and each network element databases.
The proposed Project is part of the Connectivity working group activities, where complete solutions for access, aggregation and transport networks are developped, starting with PCB design up to the centralized management & operations platforms. ALB is actively developing the NG-PON2 technology being a pioneer in the industry.
AGORA is the centralized network management suite for our entire network devices portfolio. At its core the Resource Manager provides a centralized control of all existing resources on each managed device, through a consistent mapping between AGORA’s information model and the information models of each device type. Under normal conditions the DB of each device is properly synchronized with the AGORA central DB since a centralized approach is adopted were AGORA owns all resources and enforces the user policies over the network. Under new scenarios such timely sync is not always possible to ensure and differences between both data banks can exist. The purpose of this project is to study, design and develop synchronization algorithms for automatic detection and correction of differences between both AGORA’s and the devices DBs.
