Future Labs promotes another TGIF
05/04/2019 Future Labs / TGIF
Future Labs marked another Friday with a "Thank God It's Friday!" (TGIF). Held on the 29th March, this Future Labs TGIF had "Wind Energy on the Domestic Context" as the main theme and was once again open to the entire Altice Labs community.
Carlos Mónica, from the Network Systems Development department, hosted this session, where he presented his long experience in this area, showing his progress in the creation of the whole structure associated with the electric power production, with wind as driving force. This progress included the design, construction and calibration of all the equipment used, from the generator to the support rotor, blade profile, storage batteries and converter, tower and support shoes, etc.
It was certainly a moment of great promotion of these technologies, ending with lively conversations on the subject among those present in this session.
The TGIFs, which are quite informal, always revolve around a main theme (which any collaborator can propose) and may, in the course of time, evolve to other themes considered interesting and pertinent by the participants.
