The Gafanha da Encarnação Schools Group had another edition of the Career Fair, on the 7th and 8th March. Two days dedicated to the most diverse careers in the Education Days, at the headquarters of this Schools Group. This year's theme addressed the permanent change in the job market and the employability rate, aiming to strengthen the school's approach to the business world, as well as share study routes, training and professional experiences.

The students did not take classes in order to be involved full time in the various activities promoted by more than thirty entities. Altice Labs was present with Paulo Margaça, Marta Esteves, Fernando Morgado, Marlene Ferreira Matos and Teresa Soares.

All Altice Labs speakers talked about what it is to be an engineer and showed an historical background full of milestones responsible for the telecommunications evolution in the country and the world, throughout the almost 70 years of the company's history, with special focus on the last 3 years as Altice Labs.

In addition to all the historical evolution, the products developed by Altice Labs were also shown, with an emphasis on the new Fiber Gateway in cork, the result of a partnership between Altice Labs and Amorim Cork Composites, which fits the goal of contributing to a more sustainable world and also investing in national products.

There were also demonstrations in virtual reality areas, one related to the use of virtual assistants (BOT School) and another related to the use of VR glasses (Future Labs). Audacity and curiosity were the motto for the large participation of students in these demonstrations. Alice, in the form of a virtual assistant on the first day, and robot-shaped in the second, answered several questions posed by the students. In this particular case, Following Inspiration also participated by bringing a robot that was articulated with Alice, the virtual assistant.

The immersiveness in virtual environments provided by VR glasses was also highly appreciated by the participating students, who in their overwhelming majority had never had this kind of experience.
