Futurália is an AIP Foundation initiative which marked its 10th edition in 2017, having as mission to confront the youth with their future choices, both academically and professionally, by bringing together institutions, companies, government and, in particular, the academy and other knowledge centers. This fair was held at Parque das Nações in Lisbon, on the 30th and 31st March 2017.

In addition to the fair, Futurália held a Forum for reflection and debate, aimed at anticipating trends and focusing on central themes around lifelong education and training, employment and youth. The main goal of this forum was: "to understand the problems of economy’s digital transformation underlying the industry 4.0 and to address the challenges that arise in business, economy, society and politics".

Arnaldo Santos, from Altice Labs’ Business Development Direction, participated in the Futurália 2020 Forum - "Industry 4.0: Learn, Work and Compete", specifically through the intervention in workshop III on the theme "Cooperate and Compete".

In this workshop, a number of topics were discussed on how to cooperate and compete: what will change with industry 4.0, namely the importance of cooperation spaces between the school / university (knowledge centers), business, government (and their autonomous institutions) and the community and the importance of these regional and international cooperation spaces against the challenges of Industry 4.0.

Participating in this workshop there were a set of entities made up of representatives of education and training providers (eg universities, institutes, training centers, ...), national and sectoral confederations and associations, trade union structures and their organizations, enterprises, public and private institutions with intervention in transnational cooperation in EU education and training, and partners in SOLID-South Social Mediterranean.
